This complete renovation transformed the living and dining areas into a warm, characterful space designed for modern family life. The client wanted something sophisticated yet relaxed, drawing inspiration from layered British and European interiors and combining rich colour, natural materials, contemporary art and collected pieces.

A key part of the renovation was the creation of the dramatic double-height living space. Interior windows were incorporated at the upper level to bring natural light and airflow into the narrow hallway above, while maintaining privacy and providing acoustic separation between the two floors.

The entryway was cleverly concealed behind a beautiful jacquard curtain, allowing it to become a distinct, standalone space while keeping the adjoining living and dining areas visually calm. The curtain can be drawn back when desired, allowing natural light to flow through and reconnecting the entrance with the rest of the home.
